Philadelphia is often cited as "America'south poorest big city." Hither's what that means: 26 percent of Philadelphians are living beneath the poverty line. For a family of four, they are subsiding on $24,250 a yr. What's worse? Imagine "deep poverty," a term describing living on half that amount. Amongst the nation's 10 largest cities, Philadelphia ranks highest for deep poverty. This is our metropolis's greatest crunch.
On Nov 18, join us for a collaborative conversation exploring means to address this crisis. Established cross-sector moderators will atomic number 82 discussions with advocates doing real, on-the-ground work fighting poverty. The goal of each conversation is to codify or refine solutions addressing poverty.
